How Large Is a Shaw Festival Set?

You can’t really imagine how large the theatre sets are until you are standing right beside them! That’s what we “experienced” during our “Beyond the Stage Tour”.

The size and height of the set were enormous. Actually, they were breathtaking. It makes sense, though, audiences in the back of the theatre need to see everything that happens during the play.

Shaw’s attention to the audience experience is extremely important to the whole team!

As I looked down and then up at these mammoth structures, I wondered how they moved into place.
