Discover Ontario ~ Golfing in Ontario

NOTEDuring the Covid 19 crisis, we realized that some of our “Lessons Learned” can’t be used at this time, but they will come in handy, once the crisis has passed. Please stay safe!

Ontario Visited is dedicated to discovering and exploring Ontario Communities, their events and their residents.

Our DISCOVER ONTARIO video series takes visitors along with us as we learn more about the communities and events we experience. Each video and post include an “interesting” fact about the community or event we visited. See if you can guess the right answer!

This week’s video features the Golfing in Ontario.  Golfing is certainly a world-wide sport, but in Ontario, and Canada, it is special! Why, because the season is so short, I t seems that as soon as the snow disappears, the golf clubs come out! In the fall, it can be even more disparate!

For example, I was golfing with a friend, one sunny fall day, when it started to snow! It also started to get quite chilly! Rather than packing it in, my friend insisted that we finish all 18 holes! We were both frozen by the end! I am sure many of you have similar stories! Let’s go golfing (in Ontario?)!

How many major golf tournaments did Jack Nicklaus win?
