Cabbagetown ~ A New Year!

Cabbagetown (Toronto), ON ~ Greetings, Cabbagetown! It seems almost ironic to wish everyone a Happy New Year, but I’ll not buck that trend completely. I wish you and yours all the best for 2022.

We’re making a few temporary adjustments here in the Cabbagetown BIA office. The lights remain on, and there will be someone in the office during regular working hours to serve our Cabbagetown BIA membership and our community as always. In order to stay safe, though, kindly email or telephone us if there is anything we can do. We prefer to keep personal contact as limited as possible.

It’ll be another exciting year in Cabbagetown! We are already planning for a Winter Activation that will involve an art exhibit and a self-directed walking tour, an exciting CaféTO season of dining and entertainment, a return to the Cabbagetown Festival (fingers crossed!), and a myriad of events and activations to keep the businesses booming whether in person, or in some sort of pivotal manner. I am constantly in awe of the resilience and innovation of all our businesses. The sheer courage of these business owners and operators is an inspiration in itself!

So, perhaps that is the best way to end this New Year’s greeting. Here’s to pluck, innovation, resilience and loyalty. Get out and shop local. The Cabbagetown businesses need you, and we need them!

With best wishes from Virginia, Emma, & Wing
