Audiences who saw Prairie Nurse debut at Showboat this week couldn’t contain their laughter at this warm-hearted farce. Here’s what some patrons had to say after the show:

Wonderful performance!! We enjoyed it very much!

Great show! Loved it!

So much fun!!

Very funny. Catch it if you can!

The action of Prairie Nurse centres on a case of mistaken identity. Wilf, a dim-witted lab technician at a rural Saskatchewan hospital in the 1960s, falls in love with sweet-tempered Puring, one of two recently arrived Filipino nurses. But he can’t tell her apart from the standoffish Penny, who wants nothing to do with him.

Based on playwright Marie Beath Badian’s mother’s experience as a Filipino nurse in Saskatchewan, Prairie Nurse has charmed audiences and critics alike since its debut in 2013.

Catch this memorable comedy on stage in Port Colborne until August 25. Tickets are just $32 – get yours today!
